What to Expect

Trying a new church can be nerve wracking!  Let us ease the pressure a bit by letting you know what you can expect come Sunday.

What We’re About

It’s important to know the heartbeat of a church.  We don’t have to agree on everything, except the essentials.  Feel free to ask questions.

What We’re About

We are a non-denominational church located in Eastern Kernersville, NC near Oak Ridge.  People attend our worship services from all over the triad area including Greensboro, Winston Salem, High Point, Kernersville and all parts in-between.

Our church was planted in 1992 as Kernersville Community Church and became Living Hope Church in January 2016.

We are dedicated to Biblical preaching, authentic worship, deep fellowship, and life on mission.  We are sincerely dedicated to staying rooted in holy Scripture and connected to Church history.  At the same time, we expect to experience God today by the work of the Holy Spirit who loves to point us to Jesus and His glorious gospel.

  • Word Based

Scripture is our highest authority and we want to live according to what it tells us about God and reality.

  • Spiritual Family

Deep unity with maximum diversity is not just a pipe dream.  It’s possible through the gospel.

  • Authentic Worship

Something special happens when we come together as one Church to worship in spirit and truth.  That’s our goal every Sunday.

  • Everyone a Missionary

C.H. Spurgeon said that “Every Christian is either a missionary or an imposter.”  We agree and work hard to make sure that we are thinking like local missionaries in all that we do.

  • Experiencing God

Christianity is at it’s core a supernatural faith. We do not see a conflict between the intellectual pursuit of God and the desire to experience His presence because both are the work of the Holy Spirit.

You’re Invited!

Visiting a church for the first time isn’t exactly a comfortable idea for many people, especially these days with COVID-19 in play.  It’s hard to know what things will really be like when you show up.

  • Will the preaching be crazy?  Boring?  Biblical?
  • What will I do with my kids?
  • How long will the service be?
  • How should I dress?
  • etc, etc.
