Beyond What We Could Bear

Beyond What We Could Bear

There is something about the change from one year to the next that invites us to reflect on what’s just happened over the past year (and beyond). In the context of our worship together, we usually want to focus on the perspective of hope, joy, and encouragement.

However, it’s also important to have the freedom to be sad. It’s healthy to be sad when sad things happen. It’s also healthy to learn to worship God from the position of hardship, not just from the position of victory.

Where is God in the moment you are living through right now? Whether the season is hard or easy, God is still there. So what is He doing?
