Survey of the Romans – Romans, Week 1

Survey of the Romans – Romans, Week 1

Romans 1:1-17

This morning I want to essentially preach the entire book. Much of the reason people struggle with the book of Romans is not seeing the overall flow and theme of the letter. It’s very easy to get lost in the weeds with this letter.  I want to skip across the high points this morning, and then next week we will go back and start at chapter 1.

The pace will vary. I will spend several weeks on Chapter 1 because it is vital to not only the rest of the letter, but it has been incredibly important to the church throughout history in how we understand what’s wrong with the world we live in. Unpacking the implications of what he says, and what it says about our culture, will take a few weeks.
