The Golden Calf

The Golden Calf

Exodus 32

This is a very timely story about what happened when God formally introduced Himself to His people.

Moses had already met Him at the burning bush, but this is when God directly spoke to the Israelites and told setup the nature of their relationship, and explained who He is to them.

It did not go well.

There are some very relevant lessons here about human nature, and all of it points ahead to Jesus in a way that we really need to hear now in our current cultural moment.
