Romans 1 and 2 have been very important in the history of the Church. Every generation since Romans was written has looked to these verses to help them understand the world, and what has gone wrong with it.

This is an essential building block of your worldview. (Your worldview is all the assumptions you make about the world without having to think about it.)

What you believe about 1) what’s wrong with the world, and 2) how it got that way will determine much of how you relate to the world around you, and what you prioritize in your own life and ministry.

And in Paul’s letter to the Romans, this is the starting point of his explanation of the gospel.
