The sermon teaches that Job’s friends are wrong not because they overstate God’s greatness, but because they wrongly reduce human beings to “worms” with no real value or standing before God. In contrast, Scripture shows that humans are made in the image of God with inherent dignity, purpose, and a real relationship with Him, even though sin has damaged but not erased that value.
True faith, as seen in Job, holds both realities together—God is sovereign and good, and He still sees, hears, and is present with those who suffer, with the ultimate “reward” of suffering being God Himself.
