We believe that children are a gift from God. We also believe that the primary responsibility for raising a child is on the parent, and that is at times a heavy burden to carry alone. We see the church as a kind of family, and so we view the role of Living Hope Church as one of support for the parents as well as ministry to the child.
It’s easy to make Pharisees out of kids that grow up in Church. Instead, we want to make disciples that grow up worshiping Jesus and living a life dedicated to His calling.
We are not a replacement for parents. No one is as effective at influencing a child’s heart as Mom and Dad. We see our role as a partnership with the parents in raising their children.
We want kids to learn how to worship God as a genuine part of the congregation. We want them to see other adults, and Mom and Dad, worshiping God with their whole selves. That’s why we keep the kids in for the worship service and do not dismiss them until the sermon.
Teaching the Bible
We think it is beneficial to teach children the Bible using methods that are on their level. We choose gospel centered, Biblically faithful curriculum that will ensure that your children are being taught the good stuff.
Safety is Serious
We take your children’s safety very seriously. We do thorough background checks on everyone that works around your kids, and we have put procedures in place to ensure that no adult is ever alone with your child.
What to Expect
When you arrive on your first visit, one of our hosts will welcome you and show you around the place. This will include showing you where your child’s classroom will be.
You will also go ahead and check in your children and given a tag associated with that child. This ensures that the right child goes to the right adult at the end of the service.
After the singing portion of our worship time, the kids will be dismissed to their classrooms. You will walk them back and drop them off.
At the end of the service, you will go pick them up where you left them, confirming with your tag that you indeed belong to that child.
Living Hope Church is a non-denominational gathering of Christians that worship Jesus and want to show the community what God is like. We are made up of people from Greensboro, Winston Salem, High Point, Kernersville, and all points across the Triad region of North Carolina.
